With a 14 year track record, the MIFB has become an essential platform for F&B industry players to introduce the latest innovations and technologies globally. This year, the 15th Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair will run from June 19 – 21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The MIFB conference will be hosted at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, on June 19, 2014. The theme of the conference is “Food Security and Innovation”, and it will showcase insights into the development of food innovation and food safety systems for long-term sustainable growth. The conference will provide an interactive platform for industry players and related organisations to network, exchange ideas, strengthen existing and create new academic links as well as promote new ideas and business trends that impact productivity. Presentations by regional experts will cover a variety of topics from food security and food sustainability to food regulations and the current trends in the food industry.

SGS will be presenting “Deliver Best-In Class Food Safety Solutions – Enhancing Processes and Skills” at this event. Mr. Quah Keat Boon, Lead Auditor from SGS Malaysia will share with attendees, the current and emerging issues in food safety, the factors affecting those within major emerging areas in the food supply chain arena, the importance of systems and processes, and how mitigating risks and improving efficiency at every stage of the food value chain from primary production to retail and hospitality so that an organisation can meet their commitment to consumers, the environment and to social wellbeing.
