Food safety is an issue that will always be on consumers' minds. Over the years, many regional and customised food safety standards have evolved in order to enhance food safety and address the issues raised by manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and consumers.

This seminar aims to address issues pertaining to food safety in Malaysia, such as the enforcement of the Food Hygiene Regulation Act 2009 and the GMP requirements for Food Manufacturers. The seminar will also look at Allergen Management and how allergen risk can be managed in the supply chain, Food Defence System in accordance to PAS96 on deterrence, detention and defeat of ideologically motivated and other form of malicious attack on food and drink and their supply arrangement. International standard of the Elements that make up a robust Food Safety Management System will also be presented and discussed.
