SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd organized a Food Safety Seminar for "Latest Food Legislations by Ministry of Health Malaysia and the Elements of ISO Food Safety Systems" at the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam, Selangor on 15th September 2015. A total of 40 attendees from various food manufacturing and other related industries attended the seminar.

The seminar addressed issues pertaining to food safety in Malaysia, such as the enforcement of the Food Hygiene Regulation Act 2009, the GMP requirements for Food Manufacturers and updated Guidelines for Food Labelling of foods and food ingredients. The seminar also covered Allergen Management and how allergen risk can be managed in the supply chain and the Food Defense system in accordance to PAS 96 on deterrence, detection and defeat of ideologically motivated and others forms of malicious attacks on food and drink and their supply arrangements. Finally, the international standard of the elements that make up a robust Food Safety Management System were also presented.
