The emergence of the highly contagious novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has made consumers, employees and others more concern than ever before about the safety of the premises they enter. Engel spa has taken the responsibility to ensure safety for its visitors, customers and staffs, as their cleaning and disinfection procedures are verified by SGS new program - Recover In-Partnership with SGS.

Recover In-Partnership with SGS is a two-step program, which starts with a self-assessment on the cleaning & disinfection protocols, social distancing measures and hygiene practices followed by a virtual inspection & verification. The virtual inspections are conducted via an innovative remote inspection app -  SGS QiiQ. It allows audit flexibility and remote inspections with full recording of the process and interactions with SGS inspection expert, without affecting the quality of inspection procedure.

In the effort of minimizing and limiting the potential risk in virus spreading and ensuring the safety of Engel spa’s visitors, customers and staffs, SGS Malaysia has also provided our professional guidance in developing and implementing the cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing protocols that met the stringent standard of cleanliness as set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other internationally recognized cleanliness guidelines.

Engel Spa has successfully demonstrated compliance with the requirements in Recover In-Partnership with SGS Program, providing peace of mind to their customers and staffs knowing their cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation protocols are verified.  

RECOVER IN-PARTNERSHIP WITH SGS PROGRAM

The Recover In-Partnership with SGS program checks the completeness of cleaning & disinfection protocols, social distancing measures and hygiene practices via self-assessment and remote inspection for verification, ensuring its compliance to Malaysia and international guidelines.  

Upon successful completion of this program, an “in-partnership with SGS” logo will be awarded as a form of co-branding with client, assuring the public and employees that adequate measures in minimizing COVID-19 risks are implemented. The validity of SGS logo is 12 months with repeat remote inspection after first six months.

The scope of the service covers a wide range of sectors, including:

  • Sports and wellness (gyms, salons, beauty centers, spas)
  • Travel and airports (land/sea/air transportation)
