SGS Academy Malaysia introduces FSSC 22000 version 5.1 transition training course
The latest FSSC 22000 version 5.1 was published on 3rd November 2020. The new release incorporates the current benchmarking requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) version 2020.1, including requirements specific to multi-site certification, product design & development, and food safety culture.
In terms of GFSI food safety culture requirements specifying elements related to employee communication, training, and performance measurement, FSSC 22000 has met the requirements as these topics are covered under ISO 22000:2018 standard. As such, a guidance document is published by the Foundation FSSC 22000 to demonstrate how these food safety culture requirements are being met. The Scheme documents are available at FSSC 22000 Foundation site for download at no cost.
In addition, version 5.1 has strengthened the Integrity Program requirements for licensing and ongoing performance of Certification Bodies.
Version 5.1 will become mandatory effective from 1 April 2021 onward.
